Mary Magdalene laments after Jesus is taken into custody. In a scene added for the Broadway production, the apostles and Mary Magdalene wistfully remember the beginnings of their movement and solemnly wish that they could just start over ("Could We Start Again Please?"). This is my favorite song and it was originally only performed on broadway, the video and concerts. It was never on the original concept album. It was created and added later. From The Studios At RAN Productions and RicBNH

Another great scene and song from the rock opera. Mary Magdalene starts to realize Jesus is different from the "others" she's been with, and tries to deal with her new found emotions. From The Studios At RAN Productions and RicBNH www.ricbnh.com

Important Links Below:(Audio & Video) These are links to the answers to virtually everything you could possibly want to know about the making of JCS 1973 straight from the official commentary on the dvd by Norman Jewison and Ted Neeley.(Transcribed to text) http://members.tripod.com/bbb1/jcsdvdinterview.html The 1973 version of the Overture (complete) JCS 73 was filmed primarily in Avdat city. Avdat or Ovdat (Hebrew: עבדת‎), is the remains of a Nabatean road station, and is located on a mountain in the center of the Negev Desert on the road from Petra and Eilat. If you have Google Earth, you can clearly see this filming location. Very cool. Start at the Gaza strip and fly down to the center of Israel and zoom to about 2000 feet. I have it marked. I also have a google earth video posted of a trip to this location-keywords film location ricbnh It's quite a ride with a surprise. ~Ric~ Click below to read the history of the primary film location for JCS in Avdat city Israel. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avdat Click below for a modern day photo of Avdat City - Note the familiar columns http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/fb/Avdat.jpg Click this link to hear an interview from Jan 08 with Ted Neeley. Will none of you wait with me? Peter? John? James? I only want to say If there is a way Take this cup away from me For I don't want to taste its poison Feel it burn me, I have changed I'm not as sure As when we started Then I was inspired Now I'm sad and tired Listen surely I've exceeded Expectations Tried for three years Seems like thirty Could you ask as much From any other man? But if I die See the saga through And do the things you ask of me Let them hate me, hit me, hurt me Nail me to their tree I'd want to know I'd want to know my God I'd want to know I'd want to know my God I'd want to see I'd want to see my God I'd want to see I'd want to see my God Why I should die Would I be more noticed Than I ever was before? Would the things I've said and done Matter any more? I'd have to know I'd have to know my Lord I'd have to know I'd have to know my Lord I'd have to see I'd have to see my Lord I'd have to see I'd have to see my Lord If I die what will be my reward? If I die what will be my reward? I'd have to know I'd have to know my Lord I'd have to know I'd have to know my Lord Why, why should I die? Oh, why should I die? Can you show me now That I would not be killed in vain? Show me just a little Of your omnipresent brain Show me there's a reason For your wanting me to die You're far too keen on where and how But not so hot on why Alright I'll die! Just watch me die! See how, see how I die! Oh, just watch me die! Then I was inspired Now I'm sad and tired After all I've tried for three years Seems like ninety Why then am I scared To finish what I started What you started I didn't start it God thy will is hard But you hold every card I will drink your cup of poison Nail me to your cross and break me Bleed me, beat me Kill me, take me now Before I change my mind

I believe in you and God So tell me that I'm saved. Jesus I am with you. Touch me, touch me, Jesus. Jesus I am on your side. Kiss me, kiss me, Jesus. SIMON ZEALOTES Christ, what more do you need to convince you That you've made it, and you're easily as strong As the filth from Rome who rape our country, And who've terrorized our people for so long. CROWD Jesus I am with you. Touch me, touch me, Jesus. Jesus I am on your side. Kiss me, kiss me, Jesus. Christ you know I love you. Did you see I waved? And everyone of fifty thousand Would do whatever you asked them to. Keep them yelling their devotion, But add a touch of hate at Rome. You will rise to a greater power. We will win ourselves a home. You'll get the power and the glory For ever and ever and ever You'll get the power and the glory For ever and ever and ever You'll get the power and the glory For ever and ever and ever You'll get the power and the glory For ever and ever and ever Forever Amen! Movie Plot: The wizard Themistocles appears to Kim and urges him to return to Magic Moon, the land that people travel to when they dream. When the young boy arrives, he finds the magic realm dramaticly changed. This video was animated by Yannick Puig. Inspired by the sound track "I lived on the Moon",of the Kwoon's album "Tales and Dreams". Edited by RicBNH and set to Alan Parsons "Children Of The Moon". Excerpt from an interview with Alan Parsons and Eric Woolfson: EW: Children of the Moon is a political statement. The idea of being helpless pawns at the mercy of our political or religious leaders has always struck me. And I find that current political events in the world, make this song, as far as I'm concerned, all the more poignant. Lyrics: (lead vocal - david paton) Pay no attention to the writing on the wall The words seem empty cause theres nothing there at all We let the wise men beat the drums too soon We were just children of the moon No one to turn to Nowhere to run to even if we could Too late to save us but try to understand The seas were empty there was hunger in the land We let the blind man lead the way too long Easy to see where we went wrong Nothing to live for Nothing to die for Were lost in the middle of a hopeless world Lost in the middle of a hopeless world Children children of the moon watch the world go by Children children of the moon are hiding from the sun and the sky Children children of the moon watch it all go by Children children of the moon are blinded by the light in their eyes No one to turn to Nowhere to run to even if we could Follow the pilgrim to the temple of the dawn The altars empty and the sacrifice is gone We let the madmen write the golden rules We were no more than mortal fools Nothing to live for Nothing to die for Were lost in the middel of a hopeless world Lost in the middle of a hopeless world Children children of the moon watch the world go by Children children of the moon hiding from the sky
